Tonight the House passed HR 2577, the Transportation, Housing, & Urban Development Appropriations Act. This bill that funds the Transportation and Housing and Urban Development Departments, as well as other agencies is in line with the FY 2016 budget passed earlier this year and holds spending almost $10 billion below the President’s budget request.

As the House will likely vote on granting Trade Promotion Authority this week, I am inclined to agree with Sen. Ted Cruz, Sec. Condoleeza Rice, Charles Krauthammer and others on TPA. In fact, 1.2 Million Jobs are dependent on trade in North Carolina.
