Outdoor Furniture Maker Polywood Investing $35 Million in Person County and Creating 380 New Jobs
TIMBERLAKE, N.C. – U.S. Representative Mark Walker (R-N.C.) today released the following statement after Pollywood, an outdoor furniture maker, announced they plan to create 380 jobs within five years and make a $35 million investment in Person County:
"On the same day we learned that our economy has hit a record 7.136 million job openings, even more opportunities are being created in our community. I am pleased to be in Timberlake today celebrating the creation of 380 new jobs and $35 million being invested in Person County. Polywood knows what so many other companies have learned, our economy and our manufacturing sector is roaring back, and North Carolina is leading the way."
The news from Pollywood follows today's report that "job openings hit an all time high in August."

Walker joined North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, Person County Board of Commissioners Chairman Tracey L. Kendrick, North Carolina State Senator Mike Woordward, Polywood CEO Doug Rassi, and Pollywood General Manager Dave Grider in Person County for the announcement.
