Walker Releases Statement on Passage of Objection to U.N. Anti-Israel Resolution
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Mark Walker (NC-06) today released the following statement after the passage of H.Res. 11- Objecting to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 as an obstacle to Israeli-Palestinian peace:
"Last month, the Obama Administration exhibited the same political courage that has for eight years made the world a more dangerous place. It is shameful that we abandoned our ally and emboldened the Palestinians, passively letting an anti-Israeli resolution pass the U.N. Security Council. We cannot continue to denigrate our Israeli friends and the only true democracy in the Middle East."
"Passing this measure is a good start, but more will have to be done to repair our relationship with Israel and reclaim America's place as a trusted world leader."
